Setup
- Each player chooses a token and starts with the standard bank money.
- Place all tokens on GO. Shuffle Chance and Community Chest decks.
Turn Order
- Roll two dice, move forward the total number of spaces.
- Resolve the space you land on before ending your turn.
- Roll doubles to take another turn. Three consecutive doubles sends you to Jail.
Landing on Spaces
- Unowned Property: You may buy it at listed price. If you decline, it may be auctioned.
- Owned Property: Pay rent to the owner. Rent increases with sets, houses, and hotels.
- Chance / Community Chest: Draw the top card and follow instructions.
- Income Tax / Luxury Tax: Pay the specified amount to the bank.
- Jail: You are just visiting unless sent to Jail.
- Free Parking: No action (house rules may vary).
- Go To Jail: Move directly to Jail; do not pass GO, do not collect $200.
Buying & Building
- Own all properties in a color set to build houses evenly across them.
- Four houses may be traded for one hotel on a property.
- Buildings increase rent; you cannot build while properties are mortgaged.
Jail Rules
- Get out by rolling doubles, using a “Get Out of Jail Free” card, or paying the fine on your next turn.
- If you fail to roll doubles in three turns, pay the fine and move by your last roll.
Cash, Mortgages & Trades
- Players may trade money, properties, and cards by mutual agreement.
- Mortgage properties to raise cash; no rent is collected on mortgaged properties.
- Buildings must be sold back evenly before mortgaging properties in that set.
Bankruptcy & Winning
- If you cannot pay what you owe, sell buildings, mortgage, and trade. If still short, you go bankrupt.
- When all but one player have gone bankrupt, the remaining player wins.
